Gabriel Agbonlahor urges Sancho to hurry to back to the game. Gabriel Agbonlahor has urged Manchester United’s new winger Jadon Sancho to hurry if he does not want to sit on the bench.
Sancho is one of the “big names” to join Manchester United this season. But has yet to score or assist in seven games in all competitions. with 4 starters and 3 substitutes.
Agbonlahor believes that if the former Dortmund striker is not in a rush to thrive. The job will be more difficult as Marcus Rashford is nearing a return from injury.
“I’m worried about Sancho’s form, if you don’t start in the Premier League. He’s even more of a secondary option because Rashford is coming back.
“Rashford would be back in the starting line-up, with Mason Greenwood playing on the right and Cristiano Ronaldo in front of goal,” Agbonlahore said.
‘He’s got to start putting in performances before Rashford becomes available.’
Speaking after their 1-0 Carabao Cup defeat to West Ham, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said he believes that the 23-year-old will come good at Old Trafford. But needs some time to settle into his new surroundings.
‘Of course the shirt’s not too big for him,’ he said.
‘He’s finding his way of course. He’s back into English football, new teammates.
‘This is his first ninety minutes with new teammates and that’ll stand him in good stead.
“He grew into the game and had some good moments. He’ll come [good].’
